Aims

The aim of the undergraduate nursing program is to :
1. Prepare graduates to assume responsibilities as professional, competent nurses and midwives in providing promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative services.
2. Prepare nurses who can make independent decisions n nursing situations, protect the rights of and facilities individuals and groups in pursuit of health.
3. Function in the hospital, community nursing services, and conduct research studies in the areas of nursing practice.
4. They are also expected to assume the role of teacher, supervisor and manager in a clinical / public health setting.
Objective
Objectives of the college
1. 1. Apply knowledge from physical, biological and behaviourial science, medicine including alternative systems and nursing in providing nursing care to individuals, families and communities.
2. To be recognized as one of the best medical services provider in India and Abroad.
3. To develop an appreciation of ethical and moral principles involved in the practice of nursing.
4. To inculcate in the students the value of incorporate theory and practice in giving merciful compassionate service to ailing humanity.
5. To develop in the trainees personal intellectual and professional qualities essential to be nurses par excellence.
6. To develop skill in recognizing and interpreting intelligently the physical, mental, emotional manifestations of illness and be able to plan Individual nursing care to patients based on their unique needs.
7. To apply relevant knowledge from other related sciences in planning and to carry-out safe nursing procedure for the promotion of health, prevention of diseases, restoration of health.
8. To make the profession more attractive to young people and to lead them in clinical research for advancement of patient care.
9. To prepare the students to be inter dependent in their field of work and become gradually Independent and self supporting financially after training period.
10. To develop an individual to be sensitive to right of others and conscious of her/his duties and responsibilities to his / her own profession, fellow men and the country.
11. To be an Inspiration to the world by reminding them that essence of nursing is care and to be a light and be a witness to the core.
