Eligibility
Eligibilty Qualifying Examination
A Candidate seeking admission to first Basic B.Sc. Nursing Course
The candidate shall have passed PUC Subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology individual and must have obtain a minimum of not less than 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (PCBE) taken together in the qualifying examination.
In case of candidates from the steam of Vocational Higher Secondary Course conducted by the Board of Vocational Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala the candidate shall have taken a minimum of 5 (Five) subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in Addition to the Vocational Subject (vide RGUHS Notification No. RGUHS/SEF/EC. B.Sc. Nsg/191/2005-06 dated 18.05.2006), and shall have passed the said examination in all the subjects individually and shall have obtained a minimum of not less than 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English taken together in the qualifying examination.
Age : The candidate should have completed 17 years on or before 31st day of December of the year of admission. Candidate shall be medically fit.
Selection : Selection of the candidate should be based on the merit in the entrance examination held by university or competent authority.
Duration of the Course : Duration of the course shall be four completed years including clinical training of 24 weeks.
Medium of Instruction : English shall be the medium of for th course as well as for the examination.
The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of
Higher Secondary school certificate Examination (12 years course). OR
Senior School certificate Examination (10+2), pre degree Examination (10+2) OR
An equivalent with 12 years schooling from a recognized board r university with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English with minimum of 45% aggregate marks (PCBE).
Important Instructions:
1. Student should have completed not less than 11 months of the course and his/her total performance has been satisfactory during the period.
2. He/She should have attend 80% of instructions given on each subject (Theory). 80% of the field experience separately during the year.
3. His/Her practical experience should be upto date.
4. He/She should have passed in the internal examination prior to the state board exam.
5. The minimum marks required for passing is 50%.
6. He/She should have completed all the assignments.
